About Your Chiropractor

Dr. Rob Wolfington is a board-licensed Doctor of Chiropractic specializing in rehabilitative and performance-based care. His approach combines precise chiropractic adjustments with soft-tissue work, dry needling, and other targeted modalities to address the underlying cause of pain and movement dysfunction—not simply where you feel it.

His approach to patient care is deeply influenced by his own experience as an athlete. A multi-sport athlete throughout his youth, Dr. Wolfington went on to compete as an all-conference collegiate wide receiver and team captain. Today, he remains a competitive CrossFit athlete and coach, competing at the CrossFit Semifinals level.

That firsthand experience gives him a unique understanding of what it means to ask your body to perform. He understands the demands of training, the frustration of being limited by pain, and the difference between simply feeling better and being truly ready to perform again.

Dr. Wolfington earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Coaching from Baldwin Wallace University before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He spent four years practicing in a high-level clinical environment in South Carolina, developing a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation, movement, and performance.

Now back in Northeast Ohio, Dr. Wolfington brings that same standard of care to athletes and active individuals throughout the community—helping patients understand why they hurt, correcting what is limiting them, and building movement that is capable of handling what they ask of their bodies.

The Lake Effect Way

Lake Effect Performance and Recovery was established to address a consistent gap in conventional chiropractic care: the tendency to treat symptoms through chiropractic manipulation only.

Lake Effect is structured to bridge that gap — identifying the causative weak link, correcting it, and rebuilding a movement pattern durable enough to prevent recurrence.
